Good Morning Principal, teachers and fellow schoolmates, We are Percy and Zoe from 5C.

A: Hey Percy. Will you be free this Thursday?

B: This Thursday? Let me think about it! Hmmm, sorry. I am busy on that day. A: Oh! What are you going to do on that day?

B: I am going to have something very important to do. What’s wrong with you, today? How may I help you? A: Don’t you know that this Friday is St’ Valentine’s Day.

B: Yes, of course, I know that this Friday is St’ Valentine’s Day. I am planning to buy my parents some presents.

A: Buy your dad and mum some presents? Why?

B: As you have mentioned, this Friday is a special day that I think we have to say “I love you” to our parents. You know, they take care of us since we were born. They give us food, give us clothes, give us a home, give us education and last but not least, LOVE. Therefore, I want to seize this chance to say “thank you” and “I love you” to my parents.

A: I see. But I think you have got something wrong!

B: What’s wrong? A: We should not only say “I love you” to our parents on St’ Valentine’s Day. We should say “I love you” to them every day. What’s more, action is louder than words. We have to show our love to them clearly!

B: Can you explain more? I cannot get your ideas. Do we have to send them presents every day?

A: Of course not. We can show our love by doing housework in order to lessen our parents’ burden. You can prepare dinner for them, wash dishes, tidy up your room, etc. To be honest, you have to take care of yourself well. Take more rest and do more exercise. Don’t let yourself get sick easily. You can also show your love by working hard on your studies.

B: Wow. It seems that you have lots of ideas of showing your love to your parents. You are a really good girl.

A: Thank you! Hmmm. Can I ask you one more question? Will you be free on Thursday afternoon?

B: Sorry, No. I am really busy on that day!

A: Why? Why are you so busy?

B: I have to attend Miss Lee’s English tutorial class. She will get angry if I skip her lesson.
